A Comeback Post
I’ll make it short and sweet. It’s time for a comeback. I could go into the fine details with the what’s and why’s, but I’m won’t. At least, not all at once. As many of you may have noticed, I stopped writing on Love Learning for Life in October of 2016.
It was Survival folks.
It wasn’t because I needed a break or life got in the way (although in a way it did), the biggest reason–survival. I took on an amazing project that drained me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. For four months, I rarely slept over 3-4 hours a night. All you moms with new babies are like, yeah, I do that too. You’re right, but this was different.
A serious lack of sleep led me to OTC sleep aids for two weeks to get my sleep cycle back in order. Thank goodness they worked. Then, my hair started falling out. Apparently, my body will find a way to deal with stress whether I like it or not. I considered dropping it, the project that is, because of the toll it was taking on my health. But after a lot of thought and prayer, I kept going.
And I’m glad I did. I’ve gotten to work with incredible people and once things are finalized, which should be soon, I can tell you all about it.
Changing for My Writerly Welfare.
The other reason I left, I needed to create a website for my freelance writing business. In January, I put together a website, advertising my services. I thought I could incorporate the same kind of content there that I did here on Love Learning for Life. That didn’t quite work out as planned. My writer site is focused on my clients and other writers. Yet the topics I wanted to blog about belonged on Love Learning for Life. Can you see my dilemma?
Try as I might, I kept writing posts that belonged here not there. I missed Love Learning for Life.
Then…
A funny thing happened. I was so sure that changing to a writer’s site was the right thing. I called my site host and told them to transfer my payments to the other site. They assured me that Love Learning for Life would stay active for 30 days and then disappear into the void of abandoned blogs. THEN, a month ago I got some notifications about the site. I was like, “Whaaaaat?” I came back here, logged in, and Love Learning for Life still existed.
Like it had been waiting for me all along.
I couldn’t let that opportunity pass me by my friends. So I’m back here…and I’m still there , if you’re interested, though I haven’t gotten my content up for the other site. I’m excited and happy to be back. I’ll be revamping the look of the blog over the next few weeks. Plus, I’ve got some post ideas I’m super excited about. I hope you’ll come back cause we’ve got lots of catching up to do!
